You Were Never Meant to Do Caregiving Alone
You were never meant to do caregiving alone.
The idea that one person can handle everything by themselves is a myth. Caregiving is constant. Even when someone doesn't have a lot of needs, those needs are still there every day.
And eventually, caregiving will require more time, more skills, and more support than one person can realistically provide.
Even spouses who promised to love and care for each other "in sickness and in health" were never promising to do every part of caregiving with their own two hands.
Building a care team isn't giving up. It's making sure both the person receiving care and the caregiver have the support they need.
You don't have to do it all yourself. You need a team.
