Why We're Doing This

And almost nobody offers to take a shift.
Respite is the single thing caregivers tell us they need most — and the thing they're least likely to ask for. So we decided to just give it away.

Care partners are independent businesses, not LTCareNav employees. You'll schedule directly with the partner you choose and sign their service agreement before your visit, so you'll know who's coming and when.

How many families win?
Up to 20. We draw one winner each time eligible entries reach the next 250 (at 250, 500, 750, and so on). The giveaway runs until 20 winners are selected or June 1, 2027, whichever comes first. Entries that don't win stay in every later drawing.
What exactly does the winner receive?
A prepaid credit for 4 hours of companion-level respite care for your loved one at home. We introduce you to local care partners, you choose one, and you schedule directly with them — in one visit or two, within 60 days. If no partner is available near you, we'll send a $160 gift card to put toward respite care you choose.
How do I enter?
Answer the few quick questions in the form on this page and agree to the Official Rules. It takes about two minutes. This creates your free LTCareNav account and makes you an LTCareNav family member. You're entered as soon as you submit, and you stay in every drawing without re-entering.
What do I get when I fill out the quiz?
You get entered in the contest, plus you get a free long-term care plan and connected to our experts to help.
Do I have to buy anything to enter?
No. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Online entry requires a free LTCareNav family account, which also gives you a free personalized long-term care plan. You can also enter by mail without creating an account — see the Official Rules.
Who is eligible?
Legal U.S. residents (including D.C.) age 18 or older, caring for a loved one who lives at home (not in a care facility) and whose needs fit companion-level care. Existing LTCareNav members are eligible too. Each household can win once. Employees of LTCareNav and its care partners and their households aren't eligible.
Why is LTCareNav doing this?
Because family caregivers save the health system billions of dollars a year and are almost never on the receiving end of care. Respite is the support caregivers ask for most and get least often. This is our way of changing that for one family at a time.
Is my information sold or shared?
We use your answers to build your personalized care plan. If you win, we share only what your chosen care partner needs to schedule your visit. You decide whether we connect you with other professionals. See our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy notice.
When are winners announced?
We draw a winner within 7 days after each 250th eligible entry and notify the winner by email or phone. We post each drawing date and the current entry count on this page.
What kind of care is included?
Companion care: company, supervision, conversation and activities, light meal prep, tidying up, errands, and friendly reminders. It doesn't include bathing, dressing, lifting, medication, or medical care.

If we can't find an available partner, or a partner can't serve your loved one's needs, we'll send you a $160 gift card to use toward respite care you choose.
Will I owe taxes?
Prizes can be taxable income. You're responsible for any taxes on your prize.
