CarePatrol of Western Pennsylvania is a trusted senior care advisory service dedicated to helping older adults and their families navigate the often-complex process of finding appropriate care. With experience spanning healthcare, legal services, case management, senior living, aging in place, and life enrichment, the local team brings knowledge and compassion to every family it serves. The process begins with a thoughtful conversation about the senior’s health, daily support needs, personal preferences, preferred location, and financial situation. Using this information, CarePatrol’s advisors help families explore options that may include independent living, personal care, assisted living, memory care, in-home care, respite care, and other supportive resources. Rather than leaving families to sort through countless choices on their own, the team identifies options that are better suited to the individual’s needs and circumstances. CarePatrol of Western Pennsylvania also provides hands-on guidance throughout the decision-making process. Advisors can help families compare communities, understand differences in services and levels of care, schedule visits, and accompany them on tours. This personalized support is especially valuable when a family is facing a hospital discharge, a sudden change in health, concerns about safety at home, or the progression of Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia. The service is provided at no cost to seniors and their families. CarePatrol is compensated by participating senior care providers when a family selects a community or service, allowing families to receive local guidance without an advisory fee. Serving communities throughout Western Pennsylvania, the team understands the region’s senior care landscape and the importance of finding a solution that feels comfortable, safe, and sustainable. Their family-centered approach focuses not only on care needs, but also on dignity, independence, quality of life, and peace of mind. Choosing senior care can feel overwhelming, but families do not have to make the decision alone. CarePatrol of Western Pennsylvania simplifies the journey by offering personalized recommendations, reliable information, local knowledge, and compassionate support from the first conversation through the transition into care. The goal is to help every family move forward confidently, knowing their loved one’s needs, preferences, safety, and well-being have been fully and carefully considered.
CarePatrol of Western Pennsylvania is part of CarePatrol, a national senior care advisory organization that has helped older adults and their families for more than 30 years. CarePatrol was created to make the search for senior care safer, simpler, and less overwhelming by connecting families with appropriate senior living communities and care providers. The Western Pennsylvania office was developed to bring CarePatrol’s personalized advisory model to families throughout the region. Today, the organization primarily serves Butler, Beaver, Lawrence, and Mercer counties, including communities such as Butler, Cranberry Township, Beaver Falls, New Castle, Hermitage, and Sharon. CarePatrol of Western Pennsylvania is owned by Julie Whitbeck-Lewinski, Don Lewinski, Eric Sailor and Ryan Buck. Each owner brings a unique skill set and background. These diverse backgrounds include occupational therapy, physical therapy, law, and financial services. The ownership group is passionate about helping seniors and their families. In late 2025, Lindsay Wiefling joined the team and has been an integral part of the success of Western PA. Lindsay brings a unique and care centered approach to each client she works with. She works with each family as if they were her own! Under the owners leadership, CarePatrol of Western Pennsylvania has continued to develop a personalized, family-centered approach to senior care placement. The organization works closely with seniors, adult children, caregivers, social workers, healthcare professionals, and senior care providers to help families understand the resources available to them. Over time, the local office has expanded its guidance beyond traditional senior living placement. Its advisors can now help families evaluate independent living, personal care, assisted living, memory care, respite care, nursing care, in-home care, and home health services. The team begins by learning about each person’s health, safety concerns, lifestyle, location preferences, and financial circumstances before recommending appropriate options. A defining part of CarePatrol of Western Pennsylvania’s history has been its commitment to providing guidance at no cost to seniors and their families. The organization is compensated by participating care providers when a family selects a service or community. Although the organization has grown, its central purpose has remained consistent: to help Western Pennsylvania families navigate senior care with greater confidence, reliable information, compassionate support, and peace of mind.
