About Us

We are Eric and Michelle Kominsky, the local owners and husband-and-wife team of CarePatrol of NE Portland. We help older adults and their families understand senior living and care options throughout the Portland metro area, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Adult Care Homes. Choosing the right setting can feel overwhelming, especially when care needs, finances, location, and family concerns all have to be considered at the same time. We take the time to learn about each person’s situation, preferences, personality, budget, and current and anticipated care needs. We then use our knowledge of local communities and care homes to provide personalized recommendations, coordinate tours, and help families ask the right questions. Our approach is personal, local, and hands-on. We tour communities with the families we serve and remain available throughout the decision-making and transition process. We do not simply provide a generic list of options. Our goal is to help families narrow the choices and focus on settings that may truly be worth considering. CarePatrol’s senior living guidance services are provided at no cost to families. We are compensated by participating communities after a successful move-in, and the final decision always belongs to the individual and their loved ones.
