I first became aware of CarePatrol when my wife Lisa lost both of her parents several years ago. We experienced firsthand the pain and frustration of trying to place them into assisted living facilities where we felt they would get the care they needed and deserved. I often felt powerless as Lisa would become despondent along the way because we did not understand the process, where to go, who to speak with or even, where to begin because there was no one to guide us. More recently I have had to guide my parents through this process, as my Aunt was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I’ve had to guide my own parents through this difficult process of understanding Long Term Care policies, Power of Attorney, the type of care an Alzheimer’s patient needs, and what to expect from care providers. Being a part of an organization where we can make a difference in others lives, and the lives of their loved ones, by helping to navigate these stressful times is my personal passion.
