"My mom was evacuated from her Assisted Living apartment in Florida. Then before she could go back to her apartment, more evacuations happened, then even more evacuations. It was chaos. I didn't like the way these residents were being shuffled around so I rallied with my sister and we got our mom to Maryland. I have an extremely busy, overfull, life and I was really at a loss trying to figure out this new situation as her apartment building is currently condemned and will be MONTHS before we can even get to her belongings. Then, on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, completely by accident, I met Billie at a pumpkin patch. She saw that I was having a difficult time getting my mother to where we needed to be and came to the rescue. While she was helping us, we started talking, exchanged phone numbers, and she literally saved the day. Billie immediately called, asked all the questions, sent me a list of places to look at and stayed by my side the whole time. We found my mom an apartment and had her moved in within about two weeks.
